Physical Attributes and Materials Used - 2-storey semi-detached houses. Medium pitch hipped roof covered with tiles.
External walls of storey height PRC panels. First floor panels generally finished in darker aggregate oversail ground floor panels. - Foundation - concrete slab
- External walls consist of PRC perimeter beams, bituminous felt connected with coach bolts and lined plasterboard.
- Seperating wall contains lightweight PC block cavity wall.
- Ceilings consist of staggered plasterboards.
- Partitioned walls are timber stud lined with plasterboard.
- Ground floor has timber boarding on timber joists on PRC perimeter beam.
- First floor has tongue and groove or laminated boarding fixed by hooked straps to horizontal reinforcement within PRC ring beam.
- Roof consists of timber joists, purlins and concrete tiles.
Areas which are defective - Cracking and spalling of PRC external wall components.
- Cast-in chlorides not present in panels, columns and main beams, but present in posts and secondary beams.
- Cracking of PRC posts.
- Some posts of HAC concrete.
- Corrosion of RSA fixed to foundation plinth.
- Outward displacement of base of ground floor wall.
