Concerned about the PRC process and how it affects your day to day living? Read our Frequently asked questions below to find out how Landmark PRC's no quibble courtesy service benefits you. How long does it take to "brick up" or repair a PRC house? The average time is 5 weeks weather permitting of course. At most, the time spent is 8 weeks. How much better will the house be compared to the old PRC house? There is a huge difference compared to the older PRC style of block work. In fact the house will look like new, have a superior construction using the highest quality materials and a green standard in insulation. You simply can't beat traditional brick, it will look vivid, fresh and like new. What kind of condition will my internal walls be after a repair? Any damage like cracks or other problems are rectified by landmarkPRC. It is part of all our agreements with our clients to "make good" such problems. Generally there are minimal problems with the internal walls with a Landmark PRC repair. What about plumbing and electrics will they be fixed or repaired if needed? Yes they will be repaired. Any internal pipe work and/or electrical outlets will be replaced if needed! What kind of mess would I expect to see inside my PRC home? Very little, it's a tradition with LandmarkPRC to make sure you the client and your home are kept tidy while the repair process is carried out. All windows are boarded up internally and sealed to minimise dust and weather. After these window boards are installed our PRC strippers will clean up any mess inside your home. What will happen to my paths or gardens will they be left untidy after the repair? Our strippers and builders will make sure any mess is minimal while the outside of your PRC home is being stripped. After the PRC repair is completed everything except "the new look on your home" will be back to what is was. If the type of PRC house requires the extending of the foundation, all surrounding paths again are repaired or replaced. What will happen to my old windows and doors? We will always replace your old windows and doors with the latest double glazing. All glass is made by Pilkington for a stronger more durable and clear finish. With an extensive choice of designs and looks there is always something there to suit your desired tastes. Do I get to choose what brick colours I really want? Yes you can choose any pattern, textures or brick colours you want. But if you cant decide which style to go for we can suggest a range that are popular, modern and have earned the reputation for an impressive looking home. Can I have extras like canopies, window sills? Landmark will always count your opinion as first choice. We can always accommodate last minute extras for a nominal fee. Can I re-mortgage so I can have a PRC brick up repair? Yes you can. We will provide you with the right mortgage and specialists in this field so you can have a PRC repair while paying at a standard mortgage rate. I intend buying a prefabricated house can you help me here? Yes we can. One the downsides to prefabricated homes are the "high risk" mortgages. Most of the time, the lending percentage and initial deposits can be as high as 11% plus 40% deposit of the value of the property. With an agreement for a PRC repair, this will change the costs into a standard deposit and "new house" mortgage rate. I need a new PRC Certificate. Can you provide me with a new one? Yes we can. Contact us to discuss in more detail and we can arrange for a re-certificate. Do you require more answers? You can contact us via this form here for a fast response even if it is on the weekend.
