I am writing this letter because I want to tell people how discovering Landmark prc has enabled my family and I to find and buy our dream home and finally have some space for our 2 children!  It is no exaggeration to say that discovering Landmark prc has changed our lives significantly for the better, and I am writing this because I feel I owe them a huge thank you for all that they have done for our family.

We had never heard of the LandmarkPRC team before my wife, Sophie, found them through a builder contact.  Until recently, the house we now live in was a prefab concrete building, identical to all of its neighbours. It'’s a few hundred metres away from our old house. It is bigger, it has a huge garden, and it was on the market for a staggeringly low price. “What’s wrong with it!?” we thought. It didn’t take us long to find out. The house was unmortgageable, because of its prefab status.  I run an architectural practice, so I know many local builders.  However, nobody wanted to touch the project, and they all told us to run as fast as possible from this potential nightmare of a project. All potential buyers seemed to agree, and the house remained unsold despite huge initial interest.

However, my wife would not be deterred and after digging around, she told me about this company that specialised in fixing these houses throughout the country. For a fixed price (which to us was absolutely crucial), LandmarkPRC would remove all the concrete supports and ugly facing and would give us a brand new building, complete with new windows, doors, facias, the works... complete with the PRC certificate that would ensure our house would then receive a mortgage.  We did the maths, and with the very low asking price, the cost of the building work was something we could afford – in fact, we’d have money left over.  

A bigger house, a garden more than twice the size, a brand new appearance AND money left over... it all sounded too good to be true.  So my wife and I set about doing some intensive research. I asked LandmarkPRC for a list of happy customers, which they provided.  I telephoned nearly all of them!  In each case, the feedback was pretty much the same.  Everybody said it was one of the best financial decisions they had ever made – one man even said that, according to a valuation he just had done, the project had made him over £100,000!  Sure, people said that not everything goes perfectly smoothly –but with such a big project, I think it would be foolish to expect it to. For me, the important thing was that, whenever a problem occurred, Landmark’PRC customers told me they would do whatever it took to fix it –all within the fixed fee.

We put in an offer on the house, which was accepted, and things just took off from that point on.  The work has recently finished, and in all the ways that matter, Landmark have been as good as their word.  Neighbours would tell us how fast and hard the men would work when putting in the new foundation and building the new brick walls. Yes, I too am another LandmarkPRC customer who would say that not every detail went perfectly to plan – not helped by the wettest November on record, and a very snowy Winter. But, like the other customers, I can say that they did whatever it took to work things out, and this was without the stress of us having to pay extra for it. Though I say it myself, I think our house is now a real gem in the street.

I think the major part of the project only took about 4 weeks, which was great considering what had to be accomplished. We were both astounded at how different the house looked after being re-bricked. At first we were worried about the upheaval that would be involved but your team worked quickly and efficiently apart from a few slight minor unexpected problems we are really, really pleased with the finished work.

We had a duce of a time trying to find a company with a reliable background, fair aggreement and more importantly the right price. Out of all the available PRC companies, Landmarkprc overall came out as the better of them. Paul of Landmark invited us to view his previous work which gave us a vote of confidence and the reassurance on completion of a PRC repair in a satisfactory timeframe. Our initial doubts were gone and the difference to our home has greatly improved over the old and tired PRC look. It also gave our home a selling advantage and full market value.

The gardens, utility room and bits and pieces we wanted done were also up to good standard and nothing was to big a problem. From the PRC strippers, brick layers, plasterers, plumbers and roofers it was a relatively smooth process from the beginning to end. I would highly recommend them.

As with all build problems the various tradesmen would adhere to solve them and if they couldn't Paul or Andy would make it their priority to keep me happy and get it dealt with.
