Physical Attributes and Materials Used

 

  • Bungalows and 2-storey semi-detahed houses. Medium pitch gable roof covered with concrete tiles. External walls of storey height PRC panels. PRC ring beams at first floor level oversailing ground floor wall panels.
  • Foundation - concrete slab
  • External walls consist of PRC perimeter beams, bituminous felt connected with coach bolts and lined plasterboard.
  • Seperating wall contains lightweight PC block cavity wall.
  • Ceilings consist of staggered plasterboards.
  • Partitioned walls are timber stud lined with plasterboard.
  • Ground floor has timber boarding on timber joists on PRC perimeter beam.
  • First floor has tongue and groove or laminated boarding fixed by hooked straps to horizontal reinforcement within PRC ring beam.
  • Roof consists of timber joists, purlins and concrete tiles.
